Stockpiles - Dust Management

Controlling dust in large stockpiles of soil, ore, coal etc. is a major environmental health concern not to mention loss of stock. The effect of wind on these fine materials creates the air-borne movement of these dust particles that can cost companies significant dollars per year in claims and control measures, this issue is especially relevant around quarries and mine sites where dust particles may be of a toxic nature or create environmental nuisance to neighbours.

For short term, the stock piles can be applied with WET IT DOWN which allows water to penetrate the surface and remain wetter for longer periods. This also reduces the need for applying large volumes of water which run from the base of the stockpile causing nuisance.

For longer term stockpiling our BATTER SOIL STABILISATION (BSS6) product will hold the surface from water and wind erosion (up to 100KM/Hr.) without regular watering.
