Culverts & Batters - Soil Stabilisation

During construction of embankment for roads or drainage construction projects, culverts and battered slopes can be subject to wind and water (rain) erosion particularly on steep angles prior to concreting and/or grassing. This is costly to repair and where our product, BatterIT, can assist.

Compared to untreated soil in a culvert or on batters up to 45 degrees slope our product can easily withstand 9 inches of rain in less than 10 minutes. BSS6 holds the soil tight while allowing water to pass without erosion of the surface. Similarly wind has no erosion effect when treated.
